Engineering Team Lead (AI/Data Engineering)

Location: Hybrid in Irving, TX 75062, United States; working from the Irving office 3 days per week. An in-person interview is required.

Salary: $117,600–$206,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Guide the engineering team through complex technical challenges and contribute efficient, maintainable, and secure code.
• Drive engineering practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, application security, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architecture, Delivery, CloudOps, Security, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals.
• Coach and mentor engineers, support team development, resolve team dynamics and conflicts, and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Advocate for AI, automation, and emerging technologies, including scalable data platforms, pipelines, and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of software development experience.
• 2 or more years of experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, testing, and application security.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing scalable systems, including microservices and distributed architectures.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with streaming technologies and real-time data processing.
