Facilities Manager - Equipment Maintenance (Aerospace)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; flexibility to work 2nd, 3rd, or alternative work week shifts is required.

Summary pay range: $78,650–$120,600 annually, based on experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

What you will do

• Support and direct job families to maintain production flow.
• Lead the acquisition, modification, maintenance, and disposal of owned and leased facilities assets.
• Apply process management, improvement, problem-solving, and analytical techniques to improve equipment reliability.
• Facilitate work teams and provide training related to building systems and production equipment.
• Collaborate with internal organizations and external customers on project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in aerospace, aviation, industrial engineering, chemical metallic finishing or processing, assembly, or machining.
• At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising a team of 20 or more employees.
• At least 2 years of leadership or management experience in industry or the military.
• At least 2 years of experience managing facilities in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reviewing, delivering, or monitoring production metrics.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups, including Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, and Facilities.
• Prior management-level experience reporting department production status to senior leadership.
• Flexibility to work 2nd, 3rd, or alternative work week shifts.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, industrial manufacturing, chemical metallic finishing or processing, assembly, or machining.
• Prior military management or leadership experience.
• Understanding of a manufacturing production environment.
• Understanding of supervising union employees.
• Experience with facilities maintenance or machining.
• Experience working in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Ability to coach and develop a team.
• CFM, SFP, or FMP facilities management certification.
