Senior Operations Analyst (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate operational tasks involving servers, storage, networking equipment, and platform software.
• Perform rack and stack activities, hardware installation, and in-cabinet maintenance.
• Manage workflows with remote data center technicians and ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for hardware failures, RAID rebuilds, storage allocation, and disk lifecycle management.
• Maintain IPMI/BMC platforms, improve operational documentation and escalation procedures, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Advanced English communication skills at B2 level or higher.
• Proven experience with server hardware diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of data center standards, rack layouts, cabling, power distribution units, and remote hands coordination.
• Proficiency with monitoring platforms, ticketing systems, and incident handling workflows.
• Solid Linux system administration knowledge, including CentOS or Ubuntu, command-line operations, scripting, and performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with RAID technologies, disk provisioning, and storage troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar working experience.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a senior data center operations or infrastructure support role.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Ansible for infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with DCIM or asset management platforms.
• Experience coordinating multiple data centers or points of presence simultaneously.
• Background in ISP or cloud infrastructure environments.
