Operations Tech Lead (Data Center Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead and supervise Senior Operations Analysts, ensuring operational coverage, standards compliance, coaching, and development.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues and coordinate resolution across internal teams and remote data center technicians.
• Manage shift handovers, incident updates, pending tasks, and critical operational communications.
• Oversee and participate in operations involving servers, storage, networking equipment, platform software, rack and stack activities, hardware installation, and in-cabinet maintenance.
• Lead root cause analysis for hardware failures, RAID rebuilds, storage allocation, and disk lifecycle incidents.
• Maintain and improve runbooks, workflows, escalation procedures, and standard operating procedures for the DCOps team.

Requirements

• Advanced English communication skills at B2 or higher.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a data center or infrastructure operations environment.
• Deep expertise with server hardware, including diagnostics, replacements, upgrades, and fleet management.
• Strong understanding of data center standards, rack layouts, cabling, power distribution units, and remote hands coordination.
• Advanced Linux system administration knowledge, including CentOS, Ubuntu, scripting, automation, and performance tuning.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Strong familiarity with RAID technologies, disk provisioning, and storage troubleshooting.
• Strong incident command skills and the ability to lead resolution during critical events.
• Proficiency with monitoring platforms, ticketing systems, and incident handling workflows.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent working experience.

Nice to have

• Prior team lead or senior experience in a data center operations environment.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Ansible for infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with DCIM or asset management platforms.
• Experience coordinating multiple data centers or Points of Presence simultaneously.
• Background in ISP or cloud infrastructure environments.
