Data Engineer I

What you will do

• Design and build data pipelines that move, transform, and load data from multiple sources into warehouses or lakes.
• Model and manage data warehouses, including Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery environments.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes and orchestration using tools such as Apache NiFi, Informatica, Airflow, Ascend, Apache Spark, and DBT.
• Implement data cleaning, validation, monitoring, security controls, permissions, and access management.
• Optimize scalability, query performance, reliability, and data quality across enterprise architectures.
• Help establish standards and communities of practice for international data professionals and developers while supporting timely, high-quality client deliverables.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the areas above.
• Proficiency in SQL, including T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, or Spark-SQL, and experience with query optimization.
• Strong understanding of relational database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL deployments on AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data movement and transformation solutions.
• Familiarity with database administration, including user and security management, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with Java, C#.NET, and/or Python and methods for interacting with persistence layers.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure for infrastructure provisioning and management, plus familiarity with Git.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
