TL;DR
Data Engineer (GCP): Building and optimizing data pipelines, BigQuery warehouses, and reporting foundations for seamless payment experiences with an accent on ETL, scalable data models, and data quality. Focus on optimizing SQL and pipeline performance, automating GCP data processing, and implementing governance and monitoring practices.

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; Montevideo, Uruguay; Rosario, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, or Remote.LATAM-country

What you will do

  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, DBT, and Cloud Functions.
  • Design and implement BigQuery data warehouses and scalable data models.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Optimize SQL queries and ETL processes for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Automate data processing with Cloud Scheduler and compatible GCP orchestration tools.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, governance, cataloging, and documentation while translating reporting needs into actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, DBT, and Cloud Functions.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and developing and managing ETL processes.
  • Experience with data warehousing on BigQuery and scalable data model design in BigQuery.
  • Experience optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience automating data processing with Cloud Scheduler and GCP tools.
  • Experience with data quality checks and monitoring.
  • Experience with data governance and documentation practices.
