Governance Solutions Analyst Co-op (AI)

Location: Toronto, ON; Toronto-81 Bay, 21st Floor. The work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Support data governance in alignment with enterprise guidelines, principles, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Develop internal procedures and improve data governance and data management operations.
• Evaluate opportunities to enhance and automate governance processes using AI technologies, digital tools, and process improvement methodologies.
• Extract, explore, and organize data from various sources and formats to support analysis and continuous improvement proposals.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners and build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Help ensure consistent data practices and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies. Enrollment in a registered Co-op program is not required.
• Knowledge of data and records management leading practices.
• Knowledge of governance rules and controls related to information disciplines, preferably Data Governance.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies and digital tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to evaluate, interpret, and assess information.
• Experience or interest in developing and implementing strategic and tactical goals, influencing stakeholders, and managing competing priorities.
• Ability to communicate comfortably with executives, work accurately and precisely, learn continuously, and identify practical opportunities to improve security posture and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate adaptability, accountability, and a focus on positive outcomes.

Nice to have

• French proficiency may be assessed during the recruitment process.
