Of Counsel (Labor & Employment)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; regular all-attorney in-person conferences throughout the country.

Salary: $270,000–$305,000 annual salary, contingent on relevant experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors; eligible for performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Provide legal services across labor and employment law matters for local and national employers.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, pleadings, position statements, and dispositive motions.
• Handle discovery-related activities, investigations, and court conferences.
• Counsel clients on employment-law-related matters.
• Interact extensively with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Current Illinois license to practice law in good standing, with continued compliance with licensure requirements during employment.
• At least 8+ years of employment litigation experience.
• Labor and Employment litigation experience.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to relate to and inspire confidence with sophisticated business clients.
