What you will do

• Purchase assigned materials, supplies, and services supporting production, maintenance, engineering, and business requirements.
• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders, confirmations, acknowledgements, and related purchasing documentation.
• Review requisitions, specifications, delivery needs, and supplier information; communicate with suppliers about pricing, availability, lead times, order status, shipments, and deliveries.
• Negotiate and manage ongoing service suppliers, including janitorial, uniform, scrap disposition, and vendor-managed inventory providers; evaluate submissions and determine best value using cost and price analysis.
• Monitor inventory, minimize production interruptions, expedite deliveries, communicate delays, and support supplier on-time-in-full performance.
• Support supplier sourcing, risk analysis, insurance compliance, surveillance audits, purchasing policy compliance, contract reviews, management reporting, and audit-ready purchase order files.

Requirements

• At least two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience planning or purchasing through an MRP system, including data input.
• Ability to analyze and resolve procurement issues.
• Experience with inventory control systems and understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and work with all organizational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, and similar project training software.
