Graduate Software Engineer (AI/ML Frameworks)

Location: Bristol, UK; applicants must already have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme without requiring visa sponsorship.

Salary: £45,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Develop software connecting machine learning accelerators with PyTorch and Triton.
• Implement features, optimise performance, resolve defects, and improve software reliability.
• Create and improve tests, investigate issues, and produce clear technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions while taking ownership of clearly scoped tasks.
• Work with compilers and runtime software that connect machine learning frameworks to hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Maths, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python or C++, including the ability to write clear, maintainable code, tests, and documentation.
• Practical experience or strong academic understanding of compiler development, machine learning frameworks, or a computationally intensive engineering field.
• Interest in AI, machine learning frameworks, high-performance software, or computer architecture, with curiosity and openness to learning through feedback and technical discussions.
• Relevant evidence may come from coursework, a dissertation, personal or team projects, placements, internships, open-source contributions, or other relevant experience.
