Staff Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)

Its platform supports clinicians, intake, scheduling, charting, pharmacy and fulfillment, payments, licensing, no-code storefronts, and Partner APIs.

What you will do

• Architect a unified frontend platform built from many services and used by multiple engineering teams, defining module boundaries, routing, shared state, and independent delivery patterns.
• Set the strategy for shared libraries, component systems, frontend packaging, and package distribution.
• Own frontend performance through load-time and bundle budgets, performance troubleshooting, and real-user monitoring.
• Lead the migration of existing web applications into the unified platform while maintaining compatibility for clients and users.
• Build accessible, responsive desktop and mobile experiences with UX designers and product partners for patients, clinicians, and clients.
• Set coding standards, review code, mentor full-stack engineers, design parts of the frontend interview loop, and conduct technical interviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in frontend/UI, with a career focused on frontend engineering.
• Deep expertise in React, Next.js, modern TypeScript, and build tooling.
• Experience building or scaling a large enterprise frontend composed of many services and built by many teams.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing, measuring, and improving UI performance.
• Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking focused on the whole platform.
• Care for end-user experience and the ability to think from customer and patient perspectives.
• Clear communication with engineers, designers, and product partners, including explaining architectural tradeoffs to non-frontend specialists.

Nice to have

• Experience with micro-frontend architectures or module federation.
• Familiarity with user personas, UX research, and accessibility standards.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma.
• Experience in healthcare or another regulated domain where mistakes have consequences beyond a rollback.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
