Robotics Quality Assurance Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack regression coverage across software components, hardware-in-the-loop rigs, and software/hardware interfaces, including happy-path, fault-injection, and recovery testing.
• Review release requirements and designs, write test plans and cases, execute functional, integration, and on-robot testing, and promote validated tests into the regression suite.
• Build automated end-to-end tests, logged-data replay suites, and scenario suites to detect performance drift across stack updates.
• Select appropriate robot simulation approaches by balancing test speed, fidelity, and accuracy.
• Own test cases, requirements traceability, pass/fail criteria, and failure triage with engineering teams.
• Integrate regression testing into CI, expand hardware-in-the-loop coverage, and reproduce field-reported regressions as permanent tests.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, robotics, or test automation; senior-level experience is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Linux shell scripting, with hands-on experience building automated test frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Strong experience with robot simulation.
• Familiarity with ROS or ROS 2, and with testing web applications, IoT devices, or mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with fault injection and logged-data replay.
• Rigor in requirements traceability and defect management.

Nice to have

• Experience testing autonomous mobile robots, manipulators, or other fleet-deployed robotic systems.
• Hands-on experience with Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, and hardware-in-the-loop rigs.
• Experience with TestRail, Qase, Testomat.io, and CI systems, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Experience triaging field issues from logs, bag files, or telemetry.
• Programming experience in Go, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
