Treaty Underwriting Coordinator I (Reinsurance)

What you will do

• Provide underwriting support for non-client-facing activities.
• Coordinate the overall business activities of an assigned business segment.
• Ensure data quality, internal standards and guidelines, statutory requirements, and internal controls are maintained.
• Enter contractual deal information into systems used by Finance, Accounting, Claims, and Reserving.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other functions, including Accounting, Claims, Legal, and IT, to exchange ideas and solve problems.

Requirements

• University degree in business, accounting, finance, insurance, or a related field.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Competence in Microsoft 365, including Power BI, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ambitious, energetic, adaptable, flexible, curious, and able to learn new skills quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Nice to have

• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Degree in natural science or a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Actuarial Sciences.
• Data-savvy approach, attention to detail, and practical experience working with large data files such as NatCat data.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
