Associate Planner (Retail)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, New York, USA (Corporate Headquarters).

Base pay: $65,000–$75,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze historical business trends to identify drivers, opportunities, and risks, and recommend appropriate actions with stakeholders.
• Support hindsight analysis, market preparation, planning files, and pre-season strategies with the Buying team.
• Participate in seasonal purchase budget planning and develop category and channel sales, margin, and inventory plans with the manager.
• React to in-season trends with recommendations on pricing, markdowns, and product flow adjustments.
• Present financial plans, forecasts, and recaps to leadership and manage weekly product reporting for cross-functional teams.
• Monitor aging inventory and perform ad-hoc analysis with clear conclusions and actionable next steps.

Requirements

• Exceptional analytical and retail math skills, with the ability to analyze retail business at both macro and micro levels.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and aptitude for quickly learning technical applications.
• Flexibility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–5+ years of prior planning and/or financial analysis experience.
