Associate Information System Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: US - Huntsville, Alabama; domestic and international travel of approximately 5%.

What you will do

• Support the preparation, development, revision, and maintenance of information system security plans for obtaining and retaining DCSA accreditation.
• Oversee system compliance, auditing, continuous monitoring, and the implementation of cybersecurity products such as SIEM, vulnerability scanning, endpoint security, and DLP tools.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for classified information systems and help enforce company and government security policies and procedures.
• Review and map STIGs, DISA guidance, and customer requirements within SCTM and RMF evidence packages.
• Develop security procedures and annual training for end users, Data Transfer Agents, and Security Administrators.
• Support investigations, spill containment and cleanup, incident remediation, emergency response, and communication of security risks and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–2 years of information technology experience with a cybersecurity focus and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• US citizenship and the ability to attain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual, the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide, and the Risk Management Framework.
• Knowledge of information security architecture, systems design, systems integration, and networking.
• Knowledge of automated vulnerability scanning tools, forensic tools, Windows, and other operating systems.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, use Microsoft Office Suite, and enforce company and government information security regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain security information to management, employees, customers, and IT staff and translate security postures into business outcomes.
• Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and exercise judgment and discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
• Must obtain and maintain Security+ or an equivalent cybersecurity certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to follow import/export requirements and consult facility import/export personnel as needed.
