Accounting Intern (Banking)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global headquarters in San Diego, California, United States.

Salary: $20.00–$23.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support Loan Accounting and CECL initiatives through data analysis, reconciliations, testing, reporting, and process documentation.
• Assist with SOX documentation and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process documents.
• Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll-forward schedules.
• Assist with financial reporting schedules under U.S. GAAP for SEC and federal regulator filings.
• Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, federal regulators, and internal auditors.
• Improve efficiency by implementing reports and coordinating processes that reduce manual reporting and reconciliations.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting rules and best practices.
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting guidance, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and produce accurate professional work under time constraints.
• Ability to support accounting documentation, reconciliations, data analysis, testing, and reporting activities.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Diego headquarters.
• Successful completion of a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana screening.
