Business Analyst (Financial Analytics)

Location: Hanover, Maryland, United States; onsite at a 24/7 casino and hotel property.

Salary: USD $51,273–$70,721 per year.

What you will do

• Maintain communication with internal customers and identify and fulfill reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain routine reporting and analysis of financial performance against sales and margin objectives.
• Create data-driven insights and visualizations for management.
• Develop and support the company-wide workforce management system for staffing levels, forecasting, and reporting.
• Perform financial modeling for competitive intelligence, strategic planning, cash management, and treasury projects.
• Analyze processes, recommend technology-enabled improvements, and support annual operating budget preparation with operating departments.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in analytical reporting, including development, data mining, and data analysis; financial analysis experience is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and advanced calculations and functions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the license required by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
• Ability to produce accurate, complete, and consistent reports and to process information, clarify requirements, and execute tasks effectively.
• Critical-thinking, research, business-writing, self-management, judgment, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Initiative and the ability to implement innovative ideas and business solutions.
• Flexibility to work in a high-growth, high-stress, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to stand and walk for extensive periods, use stairs and elevators, work in various weather conditions, assist with guest loading and unloading, and lift 20–30 pounds.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may substitute.
• Experience with Virtual Roster, Kronos, Tableau, Teradata, IGT Table Touch, or Bravo Poker.
• General knowledge of SQL or Access.
• Experience with continuous improvement programs.
• Basic accounting experience or education.
