Program Manager (Marine)

Location: Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal

Salary: €44,000–€56,000 gross annual salary, paid in 14 installments; eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate High Performance Product Development (HPPD) activities from feasibility and project definition through product launch.
• Lead cross-functional teams and align Design, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, sourcing teams, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage program schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, validation, implementation, and key time, cost, and scope decisions.
• Prepare and lead gate review meetings, communicate progress through metrics and dashboards, and support senior leadership decisions with risk assessments and portfolio recommendations.
• Ensure Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles, component availability, part readiness, and recovery plans for engineering, tooling, resource, or timing challenges.
• Maintain product roadmaps and cycle plans, promote standardization and best-practice sharing, and mentor junior product development team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in Product Development, Program Management, Product Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading new product development programs from concept through launch.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of structured product development methodologies and project management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate resources without direct reporting authority, including engagement with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent English.
