Summer 2027 Applied Gen AI/Data Scientist Graduate Intern (AI)

Location: Remote from the United States; work at home in Pennsylvania

What you will do

• Develop and prototype Generative AI applications for healthcare operations, member engagement, clinical workflows, and enterprise productivity.
• Apply prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI Agents, and orchestration frameworks across the applied AI development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and optimize Large Language Model outputs through experimentation and model evaluation.
• Research emerging AI techniques and design and validate healthcare-focused use cases.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, engineering teams, and analytics teams.
• Document findings and present recommendations and demonstrations to technical and business audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States independently.
