Microsoft Modern Work Solutions Senior Consultant (Microsoft 365)

What you will do

• Lead discovery, workshops, readiness assessments, architecture, migration planning, execution, cutover validation, and post-migration stabilization for Microsoft 365 tenant consolidations and separations.
• Develop migration strategies, effort estimates, workload sequencing, migration waves, cutover runbooks, rollback plans, assumptions, exclusions, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead migrations of Exchange Online mailboxes, OneDrive accounts, SharePoint sites, and Teams content while managing permissions, data integrity, dependencies, and business continuity.
• Design and implement Microsoft Intune endpoint solutions, including Windows Autopilot, device enrollment, configuration and compliance policies, application deployment, endpoint security, PKI, Cloud PKI, and Windows update management.
• Coordinate engineering teams, vendors, project managers, security and infrastructure teams, service desk readiness, user adoption activities, risks, licensing, application integrations, and transition deadlines.
• Communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and user impacts to technical and executive stakeholders; improve reusable playbooks, automation, templates, methodologies, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizational, time-management, prioritization, delegation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong technical leadership skills, including mentoring team members and developing their skillsets; ability to manage multiple simultaneous engagements in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, design, implementation, and migration across Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Teams, including licensing dependencies.
• Hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Intune solutions for Windows endpoints, including Windows Autopilot, enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application packaging and deployment, endpoint security, update policies, PKI, Cloud PKI, and troubleshooting provisioning, policy, application, and access issues.
• Proficiency with PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration, reporting, and migration automation, plus familiarity with Microsoft Graph.
• Hands-on proficiency with Quest and AvePoint as the primary migration toolset.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, directory synchronization, UPN and domain changes, authentication, Conditional Access, and their effect on migration sequencing and user access.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft Modern Work consulting, Microsoft 365 engineering, or enterprise migrations, including technical leadership of complex client engagements.
• Demonstrated delivery of Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or enterprise consolidation, including discovery, coexistence, workload and identity sequencing, cutover, and post-migration support.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access, endpoint management, or collaboration.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer, and to lift up to 15 pounds when required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ForensIT, BitTitan, and PowerSync Pro as secondary migration tools.
