Product Manager Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Brazil

Salary: $800 USD gross as an independent contractor

What you will do

• Support the product manager by drafting, organizing, prioritizing, and tracking tickets for payments-service changes and improvements.
• Gather stakeholder context, summarize information, prepare materials for provider meetings, and answer routine internal questions.
• Query payment data with SQL and support dashboards covering payment performance, processing failures, and operational health.
• Help identify anomalies in payment flows and assemble data for reviews and investigations.
• Maintain documentation for payment flows, fee structures, and operational processes, and provide clear written updates.
• Participate in agile meetings with engineering, operations, compliance, support, Design, and Data teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in payments, fintech, and complex financial systems.
• Curiosity, a logical mindset, strong attention to detail, and persistence in resolving issues.
• Comfort working with data and willingness to learn SQL; prior SQL experience is not required.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to summarize complex topics and ask clarifying questions.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools, with comfort using AI to improve productivity, research, and communication.
• High standards, willingness to challenge conventions, calculated risk-taking, respectful candor, tenacity, accountability, and a focus on timely, high-quality results.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in internships, projects, or extracurricular activities related to product, fintech, data analysis, or startups.
• Prior experience with SQL.
