Senior Data Scientist (LLM)

What you will do

• Own the LLM lifecycle from problem framing and model selection through evaluation, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Design synthetic and real-world benchmarks and evaluation suites for commercial and open-source models, defining quality thresholds for production release.
• Build LLM pipelines that transform audio and NLP model outputs into clinically meaningful insights, with a focus on prompt engineering and RAG.
• Process, clean, and prepare structured, unstructured, and audio-derived data; run experiments and iterate based on measured impact.
• Partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate real-world needs into AI solutions and communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track advances in NLP, LLMs, and agentic AI and apply relevant approaches to products.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data science, ML engineering, or applied AI roles.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based solutions in production, including prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Proven experience designing LLM evaluations, building benchmarks and evaluation suites, and using them to compare models and guide decisions.
• Strong Python skills and experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data, including text and ideally audio-derived data.
• Ability to define success metrics upfront and iterate based on results.
• Self-directed approach and comfort defining problems as well as solving them.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with time series data and forecasting.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs.
• Background in healthcare, clinical, or audio-related domains.
