PAT Senior Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and deploy predictive models and monitoring tools for real-time oversight of vaccine development and manufacturing.
• Build predictive models and soft sensors for critical process parameters and critical quality attributes.
• Analyze online, in-line, and at-line spectroscopic and sensor data using Raman, near-infrared, infrared, and UV-visible technologies.
• Apply multivariate analysis, machine learning, and statistical methods to improve process understanding, performance, and product quality.
• Partner with process development, manufacturing, analytical sciences, automation, and digital teams to implement solutions in development and commercial manufacturing.
• Support process characterization, scale-up, technology transfer, validation, ongoing process verification, and real-time monitoring strategy across mRNA and non-mRNA vaccine platforms.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related scientific field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academia; interns and co-ops will be considered.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with real-time process monitoring, chemometrics, machine learning, or data science in biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or vaccine development and manufacturing.
• Expertise in chemometrics, multivariate data analysis, machine learning, and spectroscopy-based monitoring.
• Experience developing calibration, prediction, classification, and soft-sensor models from process and analytical data.
• Proficiency in Python, SIMCA, SynTQ, or Unscrambler.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
