HR Specialist (Southern Europe)

Location: Italy (Remote-First)

Annual gross base salary: EUR 44,000–50,000 plus variable compensation.

What you will do

• Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, lifecycle events, terminations, employee relations cases, and legally sound documentation.
• Advise clients across Southern Europe on benefits, compliance, workforce planning, employment contracts, labor law, and risk mitigation, with a focus on Spain.
• Manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, HR legal advisors, and the Global Mobility team.
• Guide clients through performance improvement plans, salary changes, immigration and mobility matters, workload transitions, and knowledge transfer.
• Drive HR process automation and AI adoption, continuous improvement, and global standardization initiatives.
• Lead compliance governance projects across Southern European markets.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of HR experience.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Deep expertise in labor laws and strong working knowledge of employment regulations across Southern Europe, with a focus on Spain.
• Experience supporting complex employee relations.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy experience with HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, Zoom, Slack, and other collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Employer of Record industry.
• Experience working across other Southern European countries, including Spain and Switzerland.
• Additional languages.
