Information Assurance Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, DC (hybrid) or remote within the United States; multiple shifts available: 9am–5pm, 5pm–2am, or 10:30pm–7:30am, each with 1-hour breaks. U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $72,000–$80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Receive, log, analyze, and report on technology disruptions, compliance issues, intrusions, regulatory filings, and technology events.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, trend analyses, topical briefings, and preliminary analyses for personnel and stakeholders.
• Support technology analysis projects through planning, tracking, reporting, and quality-control activities.
• Conduct technical research for technology examiners before and during technology controls examinations.
• Review governance documents, audits, penetration tests, filings, and documentation to assess IT, cybersecurity, and security programs.
• Facilitate discussions among senior government officials, financial technology officials, examiners, and other points of contact; contribute to training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS/IT, Engineering, Business/Economics, Information Security/Information Assurance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technology-related field.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT and network infrastructure, including data center configuration and operations, network connectivity providers, network equipment, server hardware and operating systems, virtualization, and disaster recovery/failover systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and a responsive, customer-centric demeanor.
• Strong team-supportive work ethic and interest in developing further experience in IT, networking, and cybersecurity.

Nice to have

• Experience with IT and/or cybersecurity governance, compliance, or auditing.
• Experience with stock market operations or institutional banking operations.
• Power BI or SharePoint design and development experience.
• A+, Network+, Security+, or related certifications.
• Coding or script-writing experience.
• Data visualization experience.
