Senior Employee Relations Team Manager (Employee Relations)

Location: Hybrid position in Buffalo, New York, United States of America.

Salary: $128,900.00–$214,900.00 annual (USD).

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of high-quality field employee relations services across the bank.
• Address routine and complex performance, corrective action, workplace conflict, employee complaint, and regulatory issues.
• Lead significant investigations, progressive discipline, workforce restructuring events, regulatory meetings, hearings, and audit preparation.
• Manage and mentor the Field Employee Relations Solutions team, supporting consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers, HR Business Partners, COE members, managers, employees, and the General Counsel’s Office.
• Maintain risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards while using technology to improve processes, reporting, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or a combined minimum of 12 years of higher education and/or work experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 8 years of senior-level human resources experience with responsibility for employee relations.
• At least 5 years of successful experience managing HR professionals in employee relations services.
• Significant organizational knowledge and experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• Outstanding mediation and counseling skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply employment and equal opportunity regulations, exercise independent judgment, make decisions, and influence outcomes.
• Ability to communicate and engage with all levels of management and employees, remain poised in difficult circumstances, and interact with tact and diplomacy.
• Project management, leadership, coaching, performance management, research, analytical, quality improvement, and process improvement skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
