Senior Accountant

Location: Hungary Remote; other location: Budapest

Clinical operations in eCOA, Cardiac Safety, Medical Imaging, and Respiratory services support the development of evidence for life-changing therapies.

What you will do

• Lead accounts payable, including supplier invoice processing, batch and payment approvals, cash application, and vendor reconciliations.
• Own month-end and year-end close for assigned entities, coordinating timetables and inputs to meet deadlines.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, revenue postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance commentary.
• Provide accurate results to the Regional Finance Manager and support group reporting.
• Coordinate with internal finance departments and external auditors during audits.
• Deliver statutory reporting, tax inspection support, and quarterly VAT/GST returns while supporting special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a service organization.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle accounting systems, including General Ledger, Payables, Cash Management, and revenue modules such as Receivables, Revenue Management, and Subledger Accounting.
• Experience leading or playing a key role in month-end and year-end close, with strong reconciliation skills.
• Ability to analyze results and write concise, insightful variance commentary.
• Knowledge of auditing processes and experience working with external auditors.
• Experience in an international environment within a medium-large organization.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and office practices and procedures, plus effective relationship-building with clients and co-workers.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Previous accounting experience in a service organization.
• Strong Oracle accounting systems experience.
