Post-Quantum Cryptographer

Location: Remote, onsite, or hybrid in Bratislava, Prague, Warsaw, or London.

Salary: €2,500 basic, negotiable, per month.

What you will do

• Conduct research and development in post-quantum cryptography and assess quantum-computing risks to cryptographic security.
• Design and analyze encryption, hashing, digital signature, and key agreement algorithms resistant to quantum attacks.
• Implement cryptographic algorithms in relevant programming languages and environments, with attention to efficiency, security, and attack resistance.
• Assess existing cryptographic systems for vulnerabilities to quantum attacks and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and academic researchers to integrate post-quantum techniques into products and services.
• Document designs, analyses, and operational guidelines; publish research and present findings at conferences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on cryptography.
• Demonstrated experience in cryptography, particularly post-quantum cryptography.
• Strong mathematical and algorithmic background.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or other programming languages relevant to cryptographic implementation.
• Familiarity with quantum computing principles and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have

• Publications in relevant academic journals.
• Contributions to open-source cryptographic projects.
• Experience with hardware security modules and physical security considerations.
