Senior Fullstack Engineer (TypeScript/Rust)

Location: Remote, UK. Candidates must have the existing right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Build complex full-stack features in TypeScript and Rust, from trader-facing interfaces to application services.
• Develop real-time market-data presentation and high-throughput, low-latency application code across FX, equities, and cryptocurrency.
• Build demanding, data-dense trading interfaces with React and reactive state management such as RX or MobX.
• Design distributed systems and real-time data flows over REST, WebSockets, TCP/UDP, and binary protocols.
• Own architecture, solution design, testing, deployment, production support, observability, dashboards, alerting, and metrics.
• Respond to production incidents, acknowledge incidents within 15 minutes during working hours, review code, mentor engineers, and document technical decisions.

Requirements

• Senior-level full-stack engineering experience with 5+ years of TypeScript/JavaScript experience, including ES6+.
• Strong React experience and solid knowledge of reactive state management such as RX, MobX, or similar.
• Working knowledge of Rust, or a clear ability and appetite to learn it as part of the core stack.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, and real-time data, including REST, WebSockets, TCP/UDP, and binary protocols.
• Ability to reason about architecture and make defensible technical trade-offs.
• Git and Linux fundamentals.
• Ability to independently drive ambiguous, complex, performance-critical work through production.
• Willingness to participate in occasional production releases, scheduled maintenance, and Level 3 support during critical incidents.
• Clear, proactive communication, thoughtful code reviews, mentoring, and strong technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Python for scripting, automation, and tooling.
• Experience in financial services or trading technology.
