Senior Full Stack Software Engineer II (AI/Reporting)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $208,000–$260,000 USD annually; annual bonus or commission and overtime may also apply to eligible roles.

What you will do

• Build the next-generation practice management reporting platform with robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions.
• Own technical design and delivery for increasingly complex reporting requirements, including a generalized reporting platform and potential AI-enabled access to data sources.
• Improve infrastructure and data models to support customer-facing reporting and analytics.
• Partner with product teams to understand customer needs, define features, and troubleshoot issues before they reach customers.
• Write and coordinate AI agents to produce clean, efficient, well-tested code focused on performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of senior-level full-stack engineering experience with deep, hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails or other web application frameworks.
• Expert backend Ruby on Rails development and data engineering experience, with emphasis on APIs, data models, and data pipelines.
• Experience with LLMs and advanced hands-on fluency with AI coding tools including Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.
• Strong systems design and technical judgment across APIs, multi-platform distributed systems, observability, and reliability for reporting and analytics.
• Strong SQL query-writing skills and exposure to dbt.
• Working knowledge of OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or DynamoDB, plus data warehouses or columnar databases such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, ClickHouse, or StarRocks.
• Experience designing and implementing large, scalable web applications, with an appreciation for clean, elegant, and simple code.
• Understanding of automated testing, especially for AI workflows, and a proven track record of mentoring engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with remote teams and productivity tools such as Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion, and Zoom.

Nice to have

• Web application security and PCI or HIPAA compliance experience.
• Production troubleshooting and infrastructure experience with Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, AWS, Linux, Terraform, or Ansible.
