Digital Evangelization Content Specialist (Catholic Faith Formation)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States; onsite. Authorization to work in the US is required.

Salary: $88,000–$149,500 per year when work is performed in Connecticut.

What you will do

• Develop written and video content for Catholic faith formation across publications, programs, social media, podcasts, and other digital channels.
• Research and write about Catholic faith, masculine and family spirituality, and relevant cultural topics.
• Work with Communications and Marketing to promote digital faith formation content for Knights, their families, and Catholics generally.
• Develop video resources using the in-building studio, including scripting, interviewing, and editing.
• Support partner relationships, polling and studies on Catholic men and religious practice, and the creation of new hirify.global programs.
• Support Supreme Council and State Council events, including the Supreme Convention, state meetings, training, and March for Life/LifeFest.

Requirements

• Active, practicing Catholic faith and commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• 5+ years of experience in an equivalent position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, relevant Liberal Arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of hirify.global and its mission; the Catholic Church, its teachings, organization, and current ecclesial matters; leading Catholic faith experts; masculine and family spirituality; and the Catholic media landscape.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong video production skills, and knowledge of social media and its uses for organizational goals.
• Research, writing, scripting, interviewing, editing, time management, prioritization, attention to detail, organization, and coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, work independently, self-start, and follow the direction and mandates of superiors.
• Proven ability to use current technology to create faith formation materials; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
• Authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

• 10+ years of experience in an equivalent position.
• Master’s degree in Journalism, relevant Liberal Arts, Communications, or a related field.
