What you will do

• Generate topical ideas for daily segments, debates, and interviews, and develop running orders and scripts aligned with editorial priorities.
• Book high-profile guests, manage contributor relationships, and brief on-air talent before broadcasts.
• Control the gallery during live broadcasts, managing timing, cues, breaking news integration, and coordination with directors and studio crew.
• Uphold editorial standards for balance, accuracy, and compliance while shaping tone and direction with the Editor and show hosts.
• Coordinate with production, graphics, digital, and technical teams; mentor junior team members and contribute to debriefs and planning.
• Publish across social media and create original digital content including interviews, podcasts, and clips.

Requirements

• Proven experience producing live television news or current affairs shows, preferably in a prime-time or high-pressure environment.
• Strong editorial instincts and an understanding of what makes engaging and balanced television.
• Excellent scripting, communication, and editorial writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure, especially during live broadcasts.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with strong organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends in line with the prime-time schedule.
• Good knowledge of digital platforms and social media.

Nice to have

• Experience in prime-time or high-pressure television production.
• Good grasp of SEO, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro editing software.
