Senior Fullstack PHP/Laravel Developer (Sports Events)

Location: Fully remote from anywhere; working hours must primarily align with Europe/Berlin business hours (CET/CEST). No requirement to live in or travel to Germany.

hirify.global develops digital platforms for major sporting events, combining interactive maps, live data, and location-based information to improve fan experiences and provide insights and engagement opportunities for event organizers and sponsors.

What you will do

• Develop new features and improve existing functionality on the Laravel platform.
• Build and maintain interactive mapping features using MapLibre.
• Integrate external systems from the sports and events industry.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability for the high traffic demands of live events.
• Help manage infrastructure across Cloudflare, Laravel Cloud, and Laravel Forge.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience hosting and deploying Laravel applications; experience with Cloudflare, Laravel Cloud, or Laravel Forge is preferred within this requirement.
• Independent, proactive approach and ability to make technical decisions with the bigger picture in mind.
• Regular use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, with responsibility for reviewing and testing shipped code.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work primarily during Europe/Berlin business hours (CET/CEST).

Nice to have

• Experience with MapLibre, Mapbox, Leaflet, or GIS.
• Experience with real-time features such as WebSockets, Laravel Reverb, and queues.
• Interest in sports and live events.
