AI Tutor - Icelandic

Location: Remote; available from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia. Travel to a SpaceXSI site may be required. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Full-time positions require standard business hours in the local time zone.

Salary: US-based candidates receive $35–$45 per hour. International compensation details are provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Annotate, label, and provide feedback on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, and speech samples using proprietary tools.
• Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content from English into Icelandic.
• Produce clear, natural audio data capturing Icelandic pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, accent, and other prosodic details.
• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools for accents, background noise, speech variation, and multilingual audio.

Requirements

• Icelandic proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Native Icelandic proficiency.
• English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• Experience with advanced transcription or audio annotation, including accents, prosody, disfluencies, and variable recording quality.
• Experience translating or localizing UI, product, or conversational content between English and Icelandic.
• Experience in voice recording, voice acting, podcasting, or related audio production.
• Background in linguistics, phonetics, speech sciences, or speech/audio datasets and AI training data.
