FIU Lead (Digital Assets)

What you will do

• Own first-line review, triage, disposition, documentation, escalation, QA sampling, SLAs, and performance reporting for all transaction monitoring alerts.
• Design and implement alert-handling automation, including rules-based auto-closure, on-chain and KYC enrichment, and standardized case notes.
• Lead complex blockchain investigations across chains and protocols, including mixers, bridges, DeFi, privacy-enhancing tools, and cross-chain swaps.
• Identify exposure to sanctions, illicit activity, darknet activity, scams, ransomware, and high-risk counterparties; produce investigation reports and support STRs and regulatory requests.
• Validate transaction monitoring scenarios, risk-scoring and analytics models, including data integrity, coverage, threshold calibration, back-testing, and below-the-line testing.
• Draft and maintain transaction monitoring, blockchain investigation, escalation policies, SOPs, and playbooks aligned with MAS requirements and hirify.global global standards.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in transaction monitoring, AML/CFT, or financial crime investigations at a bank, payment institution, crypto or fintech firm, or advisory/analytics firm.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics tools such as TRM Labs, Chainalysis, and/or Elliptic, including on-chain tracing across multiple chains.
• Strong understanding of digital asset typologies, including mixers, bridges, DeFi, stablecoins, sanctions evasion, scams, and ransomware.
• Experience writing or validating transaction monitoring scenarios, models, or risk-scoring methodologies, including testing, tuning, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Singapore AML/CFT requirements for DPT service providers, including the Payment Services Act, MAS Notice PS-N02, and MAS guidelines.
• Strong written communication and the ability to explain complex findings to non-specialists and regulators.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, own outcomes, and operate in a lean, fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, law, computer science, or data analytics.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CAMS, CGSS, CCI, CBE, or CFE.
• Experience in a MAS-licensed entity or a regulated custodian, exchange, or payments firm.
• Experience with case management or transaction monitoring platforms, automation, or AI-assisted review.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations or independent audits of a transaction monitoring programme.
