Business Systems Specialist (SaaS)

What you will do

• Define system ownership, data flows, timing, and dependencies across product, sales, CRM, CPQ, billing, and Finance.
• Establish shared data definitions and maintain a single source of truth across teams.
• Configure integrations using native connectors, APIs, and low-code tools, including edge cases.
• Protect approved pricing, entitlements, and contract terms across system handoffs.
• Automate high-risk manual processes, using AI where appropriate, and monitor data quality and root causes.
• Reconcile usage and billing so discrepancies are intentionally billed or waived; create a repeatable automated reconciliation routine.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in roles combining process, systems, and data.
• Hands-on configuration of CRM, ERP, CPQ, billing, or similar business applications beyond end-user level.
• Understanding of how systems exchange data; coding is not required.
• Process mapping and documentation skills, plus strong data analysis for reconciliations and audits, with advanced spreadsheets at minimum.
• Financial literacy, including how contracts become recurring revenue, invoices, and cash, and why figures may not match.
• Degree in engineering, management, economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to analyze end-to-end processes, design for exceptions, prioritize by risk, document completed work, influence multiple teams, and translate between technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B SaaS or another subscription business.
• SQL, integration or automation platforms, or AI tools for data work.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, invoicing rules, or contract compliance.
