What you will do

• Analyze legacy PL/SQL business logic and its integration landscape.
• Explore automated migration using Abstract Syntax Trees and Large Language Models.
• Evaluate modernization patterns including Strangler Fig and Change Data Capture.
• Design and develop a prototype framework for automated or semi-automated migration.
• Validate the approach in a high-fidelity enterprise environment.
• Produce an evaluation of migration approaches, architectural patterns, software quality trade-offs, and guidelines for incremental modernization while preserving enterprise integrations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
• Interest in software architecture, cloud-native development, and modernization of legacy systems.
• Curiosity about AI-assisted software engineering and automation.
• Enjoyment of complex technical challenges and large-scale enterprise systems.
• Fluent English.
• Enrolled in a thesis course at university level at a Swedish university.

Hiring process
