Software Engineer Java Backend (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain AI and non-AI applications, backend services, APIs, platforms, and financial services for professional and institutional partners.
• Own software delivery from ideation through deployment, including model integration, user experience, performance monitoring, testing, and support.
• Make technical decisions, conduct code reviews, improve coding practices, and deliver complex projects iteratively with minimal oversight.
• Work with Product Owners, Product Strategy, Sales Business, and other teams to transform legacy solutions and improve product functionality.
• Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and governance requirements in a regulated financial environment.

Requirements

• Experience developing production-grade software applications.
• Strong Java programming skills and experience with modern software development frameworks.
• Knowledge of scalable software architectures, including microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, Docker and Kubernetes container deployments, and RabbitMQ messaging.
• Knowledge of Git, Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Tomcat, and databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Knowledge of test-driven development and tools such as JBehave, TestNG, and Selenium.
• Familiarity with or willingness to work with event-driven architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and product-oriented thinking skills.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development through spec-driven development is strongly recommended.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech.
• French language skills.
