Capstone Partners' Financial Advisory Services - Vice President, Valuations (Financial Advisory Services)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; office workplace

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage business valuation and financial advisory engagements from initial analysis through final deliverables.
• Value businesses, equity interests, securities, and intangible assets for M&A, strategic planning, financial reporting, gift tax, shareholder disputes, litigation, and other matters.
• Develop DCF, guideline public company, and comparable M&A transaction analyses and valuation models.
• Analyze historical and projected performance, valuation drivers, capital structures, and industry and market conditions.
• Prepare valuation reports, presentations, supporting analyses, and client deliverables while coordinating detailed financial and business due diligence.
• Support engagement marketing, new business proposals, and relationships with clients, prospective clients, attorneys, accountants, and other advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 4+ years of valuation, investment banking, and/or corporate restructuring experience required.
• Prior experience in M&A, valuations, and related financial advisory services.

Nice to have

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, financial analysis, analytical capabilities, and verbal and written communication.
• Professional valuation credential such as ASA, CVA, or comparable credential.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, and Series 63.
• Experience with PitchBook and CapIQ.
• Graduate degree and willingness to travel.
