Mobile Engineer (Peru, All Levels)

Location: Remote in Peru

Salary: $3,000–$4,500 gross USD per month

What you will do

• Build and maintain product features in a cross-platform TypeScript and React Native mobile application.
• Support the mobile application as a platform and collaborate with engineers across teams on larger product releases.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions and contribute ideas for new platform features.
• Write clean, scalable, robust, and testable code and contribute to code reviews.
• Learn product areas, collaborate with feature owners, and suggest improvements.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with Swift.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required, including using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
• Familiarity with modern frontend development and JavaScript or TypeScript.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native or React for the web.
• Experience developing and delivering a mobile application to the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with React Native application principles and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
