(Contractor) Senior Lead Flutter/Dart Mobile Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. C2C is not available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade Flutter and Dart mobile applications focused on reliability, performance, and offline functionality.
• Lead development of a shared offline package supporting local caching, queued operations, background synchronization, and connectivity state management.
• Integrate offline capabilities into Workforce Tools and WFHQ, maintaining consistent functionality and data handling.
• Implement offline-first persistence, synchronization recovery, conflict resolution, data-age indicators, and safeguards for stale or limited-connectivity data.
• Develop unit and integration tests for offline scenarios, application restarts, synchronization recovery, and extended connectivity loss.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, collaboration, and delivery of scalable mobile solutions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing mobile applications with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience with local data persistence, background synchronization, offline-first application behavior, and conflict resolution.
• Experience validating mobile performance and reliability across devices and operating system versions and resolving compatibility issues.
• Full understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Consultative problem-solving skills and the ability to align digital solutions with long-term client business goals.
• Ability to oversee projects and execute deliverables, lead and mentor others, and contribute through presentations and coaching.
• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to understanding and exceeding client expectations, adapting within a high-growth organization, continuous learning, and creative problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in daily work, or a strong willingness to experiment with, learn, and champion AI adoption.

Nice to have

• Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification.
