AWS Consultant

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: AUD 130,000–160,000 per annum plus superannuation.

hirify.global is hiring for a technology team delivering cloud transformation and modernization projects for client organizations.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives and modernize existing applications and infrastructure.
• Develop AWS architectures and configure services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and RDS.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Improve cloud performance, reliability, security, governance, monitoring, disaster recovery, and cost management.
• Work with clients, engineering teams, and DevOps teams to define requirements, improve deployment automation, and provide technical documentation and guidance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an AWS-focused cloud engineering or consulting role.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture and core cloud services, with experience designing and implementing production cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Knowledge of AWS networking, security, identity, and access management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automation.
• Understanding of cloud monitoring, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized workloads.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate, Solutions Architect Professional, or SysOps Administrator.
