Software Developer (TypeScript)

Location: On-site in Brasília, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, or São Paulo, Brazil; the benefits section also states a 100% remote and flexible modality. At least 4 hours of overlap with European working hours is required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services for subscription management, order processing, prescription workflows, fulfillment operations, and automated notifications.
• Complete and prepare a new subscription and order management platform for production with the client’s engineering team.
• Design, implement, and validate migrations for existing subscriptions, historical records, and related business data.
• Support phased production rollout alongside the existing Stripe-based subscription system, including testing for data integrity, functionality, and migration accuracy.
• Improve staging and testing environments with reproducible synthetic or masked datasets.
• Troubleshoot integrations, optimize backend processes, contribute to reliability and scalability, and communicate progress and blockers with international engineering teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, focused on backend development and production-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript experience, including interfaces, generics, type inference, and type-safe application design.
• Solid PostgreSQL experience, including relational data modeling, complex SQL queries, performance optimization, and data integrity.
• Hands-on Prisma ORM experience with TypeScript and PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, type-safe queries, relational data management, and efficient database operations.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and database-driven applications.
• Experience with subscription management, order processing, payment integrations, or transactional systems.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and complex data migration processes, including maintaining data integrity and minimizing production disruption.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and services, preferably including Stripe or similar payment and subscription platforms.
• Familiarity with automated testing, staging environments, and production deployment best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to reliable, scalable software solutions; strong problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and independent work skills.
• Strong written and spoken English for daily communication with international teams and stakeholders.
• Availability for at least 4 hours of overlap with European working hours and participation in scheduled team meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare platforms, prescription management, or fulfillment workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Stripe subscriptions, billing APIs, or payment processing integrations.
• Familiarity with incremental system migrations, legacy platform modernization, and phased production rollouts.
• Experience creating synthetic or masked test data and improving automated testing processes.
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams in staff augmentation environments.
