Data Analyst (Python)

Location: Worldwide, remote; work from anywhere with working hours aligned to Central European Time, 9 AM–5 PM CET.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day Data team operations in collaboration with the Data Manager, Development team, and CEO.
• Research, process, and analyze datasets for organizational projects, including the annual Startup Ecosystem Ranking report.
• Build reports for internal and external stakeholders and translate data into actionable insights.
• Maintain and improve Python scripts and data infrastructure.

Requirements

• High proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python with Pandas.
• Professional-level fluency in English.
• Motivation, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in economic development and startup ecosystems.
• Interest in long-term growth with the company and becoming a key contributor to its continued success.

Nice to have

• Python with Matplotlib.
• Linux Shell.
• Experience with ETL processes.
• Previous involvement with startup ecosystems, such as working within a startup-related organization.
