TL;DR
Senior Finance Expert (IFRS/Mexican Tax): Managing accounting, tax, cash collection, FP&A, cost accounting, and treasury for the Mexico legal entity with an accent on statutory compliance, financial reporting, and LATAM finance support. Focus on analyzing IFRS and Mexican GAAP accounts, managing local tax obligations, controlling cash and costs, and coordinating with regional and central finance functions.

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global offices in Mexico City, Mexico, supporting the Mexico entity and regional finance activities across LATAM.

What you will do

  • Monitor the legal entity’s balance sheet and P&L under IFRS, analyze key figures, report abnormalities, and prepare annual statutory accounts.
  • Monitor customer payment behavior, initiate dunning processes, and escalate persistent overdue balances.
  • Manage local tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, customs, tax accounting, tax authorities, and external tax advisors.
  • Monitor working capital, inventory, logistics costs, monthly actual-versus-plan P&L reporting, and CapEx control.
  • Monitor cash at bank, facilitate payments under segregation-of-duties principles, and interface with the Shared Service Centre.
  • Support local management and operational functions with administrative matters, including procurement.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant finance experience in industry.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Mexican GAAP/statutory accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of Mexican tax laws with related hands-on experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Diligent, detail-oriented, highly organized, and compliance-minded.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Excel, including financial spreadsheets and pivot tables.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in an international context, with the ability to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field, or Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • Spanish as a mother tongue and fluent English.
  • Knowledge of treasury and currency conversion/foreign exchange.
