Sr Customer Forecasting Analyst - Walmart

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays. Travel may be required to collaborate with customers and regional teams.

Salary: $86,000–$107,000 annual.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain item-level forecasts for Walmart based on POS trends, customer demand, sales strategies, modular changes, promotions, and new product launches.
• Analyze Walmart POS, inventory, sales, promotional performance, seasonality, distribution changes, modular activity, and market trends to build monthly flow patterns.
• Identify forecast risks, opportunities, and variance drivers; recommend improvements that balance inventory and minimize missed sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Walmart Sales, Customer Planning, Replenishment, Supply Chain, Marketing, and other stakeholders, including participation in S&OP meetings.
• Build trusted relationships with Walmart Replenishment and Planning teams and communicate forecast performance, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
• Contribute to forecasting transformation initiatives and improve forecasting processes, tools, and ways of working across the Walmart business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in forecasting, planning, or sales analytics, with a track record of increasing responsibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including trend identification, critical thinking, and data-driven recommendations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Planning, Replenishment, and external Walmart partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter with a results-oriented, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to travel as required to collaborate with customers and regional teams.
• Curiosity and a growth mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Experience working with Walmart.
• Experience with Walmart Retail Link and Scintilla, including customer POS, inventory, replenishment, and other Walmart data.
• Proficiency with Anaplan, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques.
