Onboarding Team Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the San Francisco or New York office; relocation assistance to San Francisco or New York is available if needed.

Salary: $150K–$180K plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead and coach a team of 10+ Implementation Managers while owning approximately 10 customer implementations end to end.
• Own onboarding metrics including Time-to-Value, completion rates, CSAT, capacity forecasts, and process performance.
• Build scalable onboarding playbooks, internal tooling, and AI-enabled workflows to support 5x volume without reducing quality.
• Act as the escalation point for complex implementations and support high-value strategic customers.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to turn implementation insights into roadmap input and self-service product improvements.
• Own hiring, onboarding, training, and development as the implementation organization grows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in implementation, onboarding, or operations, including 2+ years managing or leading teams through high-growth phases.
• Experience managing onboarding or implementation in a high-growth SaaS or fintech environment.
• Experience supporting mid-market or enterprise customers.
• Experience using AI to improve team efficiency or customer workflows.
• Comfort discussing APIs, data migrations, and complex logic without needing to be an engineer.
• Ability to design workflows from scratch and iterate as the product evolves.
• Ability to use data analysis, including SQL and advanced spreadsheets, to drive operational improvements.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A bias for action, high ownership, and the ability to build structure in an early-stage startup environment.
