Digital Consulting Senior Manager (Oracle ERP Higher Education)

Location: Remote, United States; Chicago - 550 Van Buren. Travel up to 50% may be required for client engagements and project teams.

Base salary: $165,000–$190,000 per year; estimated total compensation including annual incentive compensation: $198,000–$228,000.

What you will do

• Lead Chart of Accounts and end-to-end accounting design for cloud-based ERP Financials and EPM implementations serving higher education and public sector organizations.
• Lead functional design for Chart of Accounts governance using Oracle Enterprise Data Management and perform hands-on functional application tasks.
• Evaluate Oracle Cloud ERP usage and recommend improvements to financial management, reporting, accounting, controls, and reconciliation.
• Translate accounting, budgeting, and financial management requirements into future-state ERP designs with finance leaders and institutional stakeholders.
• Coordinate with integration, conversion, reporting, finance, grants, payroll, student, and affiliate systems teams to align end-to-end financial processes.
• Support client engagements, project management, pre-sales, business development, practice development, staff mentoring, and implementation standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of experience supporting financial management, accounting, or ERP implementations for higher education and/or public sector organizations.
• Experience with FASB and/or GASB accounting standards, fund accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or another ERP financial system such as Workday, SAP, Unit4, or PeopleSoft, ideally on an implementation team, as a business analyst, or as an accountant.
• Functional understanding of General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and financial reporting in higher education or related business functions.
• Ability to connect finance, accounting, and technology by translating business and regulatory needs into practical system designs.
• Experience supporting or leading workshops, stakeholder discussions, and design sessions with finance and institutional leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client credibility, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Interest in mentoring and supporting consulting staff in public sector and higher education finance domains, with the ability to support multiple concurrent initiatives across varying scopes and timelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
