Consultant, Information Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid work arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote.

What you will do

• Assess planned initiatives and unplanned instances for information security risks.
• Perform threat and vulnerability scans of internal and external devices.
• Review requirements documents and architecture diagrams to identify security concerns.
• Present risk-based recommendations that balance business needs with information system security.
• Support governance initiatives and provide technical and business advice on management processes.
• Contribute to information security, governance, and risk-related policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to investigate complex problems, interpret information, and communicate detailed findings clearly.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, tools, and trends.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• High standards, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to professional growth.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CIA, or CISM designation.
