Senior QA Engineer (Amazon Connect)

Location: Brazil; 100% remote. Current legal authorization to work in Brazil is required. Visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design and execute QA strategies for Amazon Connect contact flows, routing, IVR/self-service, Cases/Tasks workflows, Contact Lens, and AI-driven conversational agents.
• Build and maintain manual and automated IVR, web, API, integration, contract, and end-to-end test suites using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Amazon Connect integrations.
• Validate legacy-to-Connect migrations, including parallel runs, flow conversion, and data migration across Avaya, Genesys, Connect, and NICE.
• Test Agent Workspace experiences and serverless, event-driven AWS backends involving Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and API Gateway.
• Execute rollout and cutover validation, verify CloudWatch monitoring and alerting, participate in incident triage, and validate security and compliance controls.
• Partner with engineers and customer stakeholders on shift-left testing, acceptance criteria, UAT, defect resolution, reusable QA assets, and mentoring junior QA engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of QA/test engineering experience, including 3+ years testing contact center, CCaaS, or IVR/voice platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect or a comparable CCaaS platform, including contact flows, routing, Cases/Tasks, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Playwright E2E and API testing, Cypress, and Selenium for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing serverless and event-driven AWS architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Step Functions.
• Working knowledge of conversational AI and voice testing, including intent accuracy, latency, and fallback behavior.
• Strong defect documentation and triage skills, with experience running UAT sessions for business and technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows using GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

• Contact center migration testing experience with Avaya, Genesys, Connect, or NICE.
• Experience with AI observability and trace validation, including agent spans and token/cost attribution, or accessibility engineering.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or an ML/Connect-relevant Specialty certification.
• Contact center operations fluency covering quality management, outbound compliance, and CX KPIs.
• Consulting or client-delivery background.
• Hands-on experience with Cyara or Botium.
